The fire was started on September 2, 2017 by a 15-year-old boy who had detonated fireworks during a ban on burning. According to Cal Fire, the five-mile-long flame, previously known as the "bear fire," swept through hilly terrain and devoured the falling rainbows, according to the Chicago Tribune.
A few millennia later, one of the first known indigenous settlements in the United States was established nearby. In 1947 the inhabitants voted for the incorporation as a village with 1618 inhabitants. The village is called the Oak Forest because of its proximity to the Chicago River and Lake Michigan.
In the following years, after the opening of the Eichenwald Hospital, a small settlement developed in the area, where a number of farmers and small businesses such as a grocery store and a smithy were located. The city of Eichenwald is divided into 7 districts, and each station is represented by a city council. Work is underway on a new urban vehicle for the city's public transportation system, the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). The former site of an old train station on the north side of Lake Michigan is now part of a former settlement in Goeselville.
Illinois requires the Oak Forest community to follow certain rules and procedures when hiring full-time firefighters. In the relevant section, it must hire a full-time firefighter from a pool of candidates on a funding list.
Fire safety regulations must be enforced in order to protect the city of Eichenwald and its citizens from the dangers of fires. Commercial and business owners must install sprinklers with antifreeze and fire extinguishers to ensure the best possible protection against fire damage to their property. It will always depend on how much work is required and what it costs to make the system operational in the event of a fire or other natural disaster. For sprinklers in the oak forest, a company that relies on antifreeze and fire sprinklers will offer its services to maintain, inspect and install the systems.
It is the responsibility of the company or the property owner to provide the city of Eichenwald and all services that may be required. Sprinkler systems should be maintained by an affiliated, insured and licensed company. You can protect yourself by checking that your company is properly and actively performing the necessary duties for the sprinkler system. Anyone who does not comply with the fire safety regulations and fire-extinguishing regulations of the city of Eichenwald must not wait for his fire protection system. Please contact your licensed FireSpringer company for specific questions about your system and / or other aspects of your compliance with the Fire Protection Act.
